Alltec Installation Services is an Aylesbury-based electrical and fire alarm installation contractor, working business to business across our region, London and the Midlands. Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the person in charge of a business building must have suitable fire safety measures in place, and for most buildings that means a fire detection and alarm system designed to BS 5839-1. Here is what we install and how we work with contractors, developers and building owners.

Installation at contracting level

We install fire alarm systems on new builds, fit-outs and refurbishments, including works in live premises. We are happy to take on large labour-only installation projects, working to the design and specification supplied to us. We can also supply the fire alarm equipment if you would like us to, but supplying the kit is entirely optional. We do not carry out commissioning, design or maintenance servicing ourselves, but we can arrange all of it through our partners, including regular servicing and call-out cover. That means we can take on fire alarm and refuge projects of any size or environment, and we bring our partner in at the early stages of your project.

Fire alarm systems we install

We install addressable and conventional fire detection and alarm systems from manufacturers including Gent, Hochiki and Apollo. Addressable systems show exactly which detector or call point has been triggered, which is a big help in larger buildings and warehouses. Conventional systems split the building into zones and suit smaller premises. For warehouses and specialist areas we also install aspirating (air-sampling) smoke detection.

Specialist alarms for care and accessible buildings

We also install disabled refuge fire alarm systems, disabled toilet alarms and nurse call systems, which are commonly specified in care settings, public buildings, offices and schools.

Design, commissioning and servicing through our partner

Where a project comes to us through our website, we can bring in our trusted partners for the fire alarm design, commissioning and a service and maintenance package, and then take on the installation, supplying the equipment as well if you wish. That way the design, the commissioning and the regular servicing that BS 5839-1 recommends are handled by specialists, and we concentrate on installing the system properly.

Get a clear, individually costed quote

Every job is individually costed, and larger fire alarm and refuge projects are costed on a bespoke schedule because of the size and complexity of the work involved. To discuss a project, call us on 01296 929300 or email enquiries@alltecservices.co.uk.
